Aim and Objectives of the Symposium:

The primary aim of the Symposium is to address the concept of Comprehensive e-Services: Successes and Challenges. It is important to track and effectuate all the elements of e-Services at all levels: the individual, the institutional, and the societal. Comprehensive e-Services cover processes (stages, steps and activities) and tools (techniques, methods and measures) that generate significant time savings and efficiencies in services conduction and delivery to end users. Comprehensive e-Services should provide access to instantaneous results, business process enhancements to improve the ease of doing business, reduced operating expenses, and improved customer services. The comprehensiveness of e-Services is also important since it involves complex trade-offs and specific interdependencies between various services. Furthermore the comprehensiveness of e-services delivery is always of great concern and importance to users.  Therefore, comprehensiveness induces e-Services providers to think and pay attention to all key factors and the potential pitfalls.

Accordingly, this Symposium aims to achieve the following objectives:

-          Covering different issues and new development related to Comprehensive e-Services in terms of the processes of production, exhibition and delivery of products and services.

-          Studying the role of Comprehensive e-Services in improving and facilitating necessary services to citizens in both rural and urban areas.

-          Calling for support to efforts of public and private institutions concerned with and heavily involved in the development of Comprehensive e-Services.

-          Investigating proper means to secure the latest technologies and facilitating their use in improving Comprehensive e-Services for the various sectors of society.

-          Building the culture of Comprehensive e-Services and improving society awareness of the benefits of Comprehensive e-Services to both public and private sectors and among institutions and individuals.

-          Exploring major successes, challenges, limitations and opportunities facing the process of developing implementing the concept of Comprehensive e-Services.

-          Bringing together leading research experts, professionals, and vendors to explore and share their knowledge and expertise related to the concept of Comprehensive e-Services, contributing to the assessment of recent efforts and propose future directions towards the development of the field.

-          Inviting contributions that are both empirical and conceptual to develop and achieve the concept of Comprehensive e-Services, and which are open to all types of research methodologies both from academia and industry.
